Kuwait Villa — 5 Bedrooms, Indoor Pool & Diwania
George Villa designed and built the complete interior of this Kuwait family home — from the entrance foyer and ground-floor living, dining and kitchen to the master wing, and a full basement level with an indoor pool, a gym and a traditional diwania reception room. Every room was drawn to the millimetre from the client’s floor plan, produced in our Foshan factory and shipped flat-packed in numbered export crates. Below is the finished project, floor by floor and room by room.

The Challenge
A Gulf family home has to do several things at once — host large gatherings, keep a pool, a gym and a traditional reception working together, and stay calm and private for everyday life.
The brief combined five bedrooms, a full basement entertainment level and a ground-floor family zone on a tight structural grid. The pool, gym and diwania sit below grade, which meant solving water, ventilation and daylight at the basement level while keeping the ground floor bright and open.
The client also wanted one continuous material story across every floor — the same wood, stone and joinery language from the entrance down to the pool deck — so the home reads as a single design rather than a collection of separate rooms.
- Balancing a below-grade pool and gym with real light and air
- A traditional diwania that feels contemporary, not themed
- One consistent material palette carried across three storeys
- Flat-packing a complete villa for long-haul sea freight

Floor Plan Analysis
The villa is organised around a central stair that links a family-focused ground floor to a full basement recreation level and a quiet roof office.
On the ground floor the entrance opens onto a double-height foyer, then flows into an open living-and-dining zone and a kitchen with a breakfast bar. The four guest bedrooms and the master wing sit on this level, each with generous built-in storage.
The basement is the social engine of the house: an indoor pool and spa, a fully equipped gym, a diwania reception room for hosting, plus a secondary living-and-dining area, a utility kitchen and service rooms for staff.

Ground Floor
Entrance foyer, living & dining, kitchen with a breakfast bar, four guest bedrooms, the master suite and the central stair.
Basement Level
Indoor pool & spa, gym, diwania reception, a secondary living & dining, a utility kitchen, laundry and staff rooms.
Roof Level
A calm hall and office with its own bathroom — a private study sitting above the family zone.
Room-by-Room Solution

Entrance & Foyer
The entrance is a deliberate pause before the home opens up. A honed marble feature wall, a high-contrast patterned floor and a slim console create a formal but restrained first impression, with lighting that draws the eye toward the double-height stair.

Living & Dining
The main living-and-dining room is the heart of the ground floor. A full-height marble media wall carries the television and a linear fireplace, while a deep sectional and a low coffee table keep the seating relaxed and conversational.

Dining
A dedicated dining room seats the family at a round black-marble table. A vertical wood-slat feature wall and concealed cove lighting give the space warmth, while the open sightline back to the kitchen keeps serving easy during large meals.

Kitchen
The kitchen pairs dark, handle-less cabinetry with a thick stone worktop and a freestanding island with four bar stools. A full appliance column — fridge, ovens and wine storage — is built into the run so the working surfaces stay clear.

Master Bedroom
The master wing leads from the ground floor into a calm, symmetrical bedroom. A full-height wood-slat feature wall frames the bed, and the palette — warm oak, soft grey and natural stone — carries straight over from the living areas.

Master En-suite & Walk-in
Behind the bedroom, the en-suite is finished in the same marble and oak as the rest of the home. A double vanity with a back-lit mirror, a walk-in shower and a freestanding tub make the bathroom a small private retreat.

Indoor Pool & Spa
The basement pool is the villa’s centrepiece. Sun loungers line the water’s edge under a timber-lined ceiling, and large glass openings bring daylight down to the below-grade level so the pool reads as a bright, open room rather than a dark basement.

Dwania & Gym
The diwania is the formal reception room used for hosting guests and family gatherings. Built-in lounge seating, a low media wall and a warm wood-slat feature wall give it a contemporary feel while keeping the traditional, seating-first layout.
Material & Finish Direction
One continuous palette runs through all three storeys, so every room reads as part of the same home. The base is warm oak joinery — the same board grade in the kitchen, the bedrooms, the diwania and the pool level — paired with a neutral stone in a soft grey.
Finishes stay matte and tactile: matte-lacquered and wood fronts, honed and patterned stone, and brushed warm-metal hardware. The geometric floor at the entrance and the patterned marble in the living room add controlled contrast without breaking the calm, earthy scheme.
Production & Export
The whole villa was built in our Foshan factory and shipped as a flat-packed, numbered set — the same process we use for every export project.
Production Drawings
Every room is drawn to the millimetre from the client’s floor plan. The client approves full production drawings and material samples before any board is cut.
Factory Build
Cabinetry, stone, joinery and built-ins are manufactured and assembled to the approved drawings, then quality-checked room by room on the factory floor.
Flat-Pack & Number
Completed units are disassembled, foam-wrapped and crated. Every panel is labelled with a room and an assembly number so on-site installation follows the labels.
Sea Freight & Install
Crates are palletised and shipped by sea to the nearest port, then delivered to site for the contractor to install from the numbered drawings.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you build a whole villa interior from our floor plan?
Yes. We work from the client’s floor plan and produce complete production drawings for every room — cabinetry, stone, joinery, lighting and soft furnishings — for approval before production. That is exactly how this Kuwait villa was made.
Do you include the pool, gym and reception (dwania) areas?
Yes. This project included the indoor pool zone, a fully equipped gym, and a traditional diwania reception room as part of the interior scope, along with all the ground-floor living, dining, kitchen and bedrooms.
What materials did you use on this project?
The villa uses a consistent palette of warm oak joinery, neutral honed and patterned stone, matte-lacquered fronts and brushed warm-metal hardware. Every material is specified on the production drawings and can be adjusted per project.
How is a full villa packed and shipped?
Every unit is flat-packed, foam-wrapped and placed in export crates, with each panel numbered by room and assembly step. The crates ship by sea to your nearest port and install on site by following the numbered labels.
How long does a project like this take?
Lead time depends on the villa’s size and the sea route to your port. After drawings and samples are approved, production typically runs several weeks, followed by ocean freight and on-site installation.
Can we change finishes or layouts before production?
Yes — that is what the approval stage is for. You can change finishes, colours, hardware and, within the structural grid, room layouts before we release the order for production.
