SLAB CUTTING & EDGE PROFILES

Stone Slab Cutting And Edge Profile Services

Every slab that leaves our Foshan base is cut, edged and checked before it is crated. The cutting line covers worktops, vanity tops and wall panels in marble, granite, quartz and sintered stone — cut to your template, install-ready, with polished, eased, bullnose or flap edges finished before packing. Cut-to-size typically adds 15–25 days on top of slab preparation, because each piece is cut, edged and checked individually.

What Is the Slab Cutting Service?

The cutting line serves all four stone families on the same process: template in, install-ready pieces out. A template from the site or from the fitted cabinets both work.

Stone Families on the Cutting Line

The cutting line runs all four families: marble in 20–30 mm worktops and 3 mm, 6 mm and 12 mm slabs; granite and quartz on the same 20–30 mm line; sintered stone in the 1200×2400 slab and the 6 mm panel.

The edge profiles and finishes are the same across the families. Most requested cutting programs:

Cutting Line Examples

Cut pieces from the line — each checked against the drawing before it is crated:

How the Cutting Line Works

Six decisions shape the cut list, and each is confirmed before the first cut:

Template first

The cut list runs from your template or drawing — site measurements or the fitted cabinets both work. The sink and hob apertures are marked on the drawing, not chased on site.

Edge profile per piece

Polished, eased, bullnose or flap, stated per piece on the cut list. The edge is finished before packing, because an edge profile cannot be changed once the stone is installed.

Finish per face

Polished, honed, leathered or matt by family and application. The finish is applied before the edge work, so the profile carries the same face.

Check before crate

Each cut piece is checked against the drawing before it is crated — dimensions, aperture positions and edge profile. A piece that fails the check is re-cut, not shipped.

Packing

Cut pieces ship in steel-frame or heavy wooden crates with foam corner protection, each piece numbered to the cut list, so the site team installs by number.

Timing

Cut-to-size typically adds 15–25 days on top of slab preparation, because each piece is cut, edged and checked individually. The confirmed cut list starts that clock.

Frequently Asked Questions

What can the cutting line cut?

Worktops, vanity tops and wall panels in marble, granite, quartz and sintered stone — cut to your template, install-ready, on the 20–30 mm worktop line and the 3 mm, 6 mm and 12 mm slabs.

Which edge profiles do you cut?

Polished, eased, bullnose or flap, stated per piece on the cut list. The profile is finished before packing, because it cannot be changed once the stone is installed.

How long does cut-to-size take?

Typically 15–25 days on top of slab preparation, because each piece is cut, edged and checked individually.

Do I need a template?

A template from the site or the fitted cabinets both work. Without one, the drawing dimensions are the cut basis, and the apertures are marked on the drawing.

How are cut pieces packed?

In steel-frame or heavy wooden crates with foam corner protection, each piece numbered to the cut list. Cargo insurance is available on every stone order.

Can sink and hob cut-outs be done?

Yes. The apertures are cut to the drawing and marked on it — the worktop arrives install-ready, no on-site chasing.
