CUSTOM DINING FURNITURE

Custom Dining Furniture for Villas

A custom dining package covers the whole dining zone of a villa: the table, the chairs or benches, and the sideboard or display unit that closes the room. Each piece is drawn to your floor plan — table length set by the wall and the walkway behind it, sideboard length fixed to the millimetre of the remaining wall, chairs specified for the table height and the seat depth the room allows. At George Villa our Foshan factory produces dining sets as one coordinated system: the same wood, the same finish, the same hardware line as your kitchen and living room, so the room reads as designed rather than assembled.

What Is a Custom Dining Furniture Package?

The table can be solid wood, veneer over a stable carcass, or a stone or sintered-stone top on a wood base — each with different weight, durability and handling, resolved on the drawing. Send your dining plan or photos and measurements, and we return production drawings with top and finish options plus a landed quotation within 24 hours.

Materials and Finishes for Dining Furniture

Dining tops take more abuse than any other line — hot plates, glasses, daily wiping. Solid wood is the classic, low-maintenance choice; veneer the most stable for long tables; stone or sintered-stone the formal surface that never needs refinishing. We match the base and sideboard to the top, against the villa’s use and climate.

Chairs are upholstered or lacquered against the table height, with kiln-dried hardwood frames and woven, fabric or leather seats. The finish comes from the same line as the table, so the set cures in one batch. The six finishes below are the most specified for new-build villas; any approved wood, lacquer or stone can match.

Where Dining Furniture Sits in a New-Build Villa

Eight decisions are made at the drawing stage and are expensive to change once the villa is finished:

Kitchen-to-dining flow

The table position is fixed by the service run from kitchen. We check the drawing so the serving path clears the sideboard and the door swing, and the table does not sit on a traffic line.

Top material against the floor

Stone tops need a flat, well-supported floor — we confirm the slab span and the floor specification from your plan. Wood tops are more forgiving but still need the level check before the base is fixed.

Wall length and sideboard

The sideboard length is cut to the remaining wall minus the door clearance and skirting shadow gap. It is drawn as a single carcass when it fits one crate, or as two joined halves when it does not.

Chairs, benches or the mix

We specify the chair count from the table length (two per metre as a rule) and place a bench on the wall side where the room allows — benches save walkway space and read lighter.

Spill and heat specification

Hot-plate resistance is called out on the drawing: trivets assumed, or a stone top specified. The finish is chosen so everyday wiping does not build a sheen line over a year of use.

Power and pendant line

The pendant height and the wall power for the sideboard are read from your electrical and lighting plan. The table is detailed around them — no new ceiling cut or wall chase after finishing.

Indoor-outdoor transition

Where the dining room opens to the terrace, the table finish is specified to match the outdoor set in tone, and the joinery is protected from the first sun line falling inside the glass.

Seating count for entertaining

We plan the table for the client’s daily count plus the entertaining count — a leaf zone if the wall allows, a fixed length if it does not. The count is fixed on the drawing before the top is cut.

Solid Wood vs Veneer vs Stone Dining Tables

All three work in a villa dining room — in different roles. The table is how we specify them by default.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the lead time for a custom dining set?

Typically 15–30 days from drawing and sample approval. Table, chairs and sideboard are produced on the same line in the same window and ship as one coordinated set.

Can the dining set be matched to my kitchen cabinets?

Yes — that is the standard. Wood species, finish and hardware are drawn from the same line as your kitchen, so the dining room and kitchen read as one interior.

What top material do you recommend for a family dining room?

For daily family use we usually specify solid wood or a stone-look sintered top — both take hot plates and daily wiping without refinishing. We recommend per the villa’s use, climate and budget on the production drawing.

How are large tables packed for sea freight?

Long tables ship in export crates with the top on a frame with corner protection, or in two crated halves for lengths over 2.4 m. The assembly drawing shows the join so the table lands flat in one setting.

Do you make benches as well as chairs?

Yes — benches are cut to the table length and can combine with chairs on the same set. Benches save walkway space against the wall and are a common specification in villa dining rooms.

Is there a minimum order for dining furniture?

There is no piece MOQ — we produce one villa at a time. The same drawings repeat for twin villas or townhouse projects at a reduced unit cost.
