Custom Rugs And Carpets for Villas
A rug is the difference between a villa that is built and a villa that is finished: it anchors the living room, softens the stone floor and carries the color scheme from wall to floor. At George Villa we produce made-to-order rugs and carpets in our Foshan base — geometric, floral, solid and border designs, in sizes drawn from your floor plan, photographed before packing and shipped flat-packed in the same container as your cabinets, flooring and stone.
What Is a Villa Rug Package?
Rugs run in tufted, flat-woven and knotted constructions from wool blends and silk-wool for the formal rooms, polypropylene for high-traffic areas, and jute and natural fibers for a warm, relaxed look. Every size, pattern and border can be changed per project — send your design file and room dimensions and we confirm the final specification before production.

Materials and Looks We Produce Most
Wool blends and silk-wool carry the formal rooms: the pile holds its depth, the colors stay rich, and the surface forgives the foot traffic of a lived-in home. Polypropylene covers the high-traffic and outdoor-adjacent areas where cleaning matters more than pile height; jute and cotton blends bring the warm, natural texture that pairs with oak flooring and travertine.

Sizing, Design and Placement
A rug is only as good as its fit to the room. The four decisions we make with you before any weaving starts:
Size from your floor plan
We size each rug from your room dimensions and furniture layout — under the front legs of the sofa in the living room, bed-width plus margin in the bedroom, runner-width in the hallway. Custom sizes are the default, not an upgrade.
Custom print from your file
Send your designer’s pattern, a reference photo or a color story and we prepare the print for production. Solid and border schemes are drawn in-house to match the villa’s palette.
Placement against the floor
The rug sits on stone, tile or engineered wood in most of our projects. We match the backing to the floor — non-slip on polished stone, breathable on timber — and confirm the edge finish against the skirting detail.
One room, one container
Rugs pack flat and light. We number them by room, moisture-protect every piece and consolidate them with your hard products, so the living room rug arrives with the living room.

Choosing the Right Rug by Room
The room decides the look, the traffic decides the construction. Our standard direction by room:
| Room | Recommended look | Construction | Care note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Living room | Large scale pattern or solid with border | Wool blend or silk-wool, tufted | Rotates well; vacuum against the pile |
| Bedroom | Soft solid, low contrast | Flat-woven or low pile | Breathable on heated floors |
| Dining | Flat weave under the table | Flat-woven jute or cotton blend | Crisp edges for chair movement |
| Hallway & entry | Durable geometric runner | Tight-knotted or flat-woven | High-traffic facing; easy to clean |
| Outdoor terrace | Weather-facing pattern | Polypropylene | Rinses clean, dries fast |
How Ordering Works
The same four-step process we use for every villa soft furnishing program — from your floor plan to your loading port:
Step 1: Send your floor plan and room photos
Room dimensions, furniture layout and the floor they sit on — the same drawings your flooring order runs on.
Step 2: Choose design, size and material
From the program or your own file. A fabric and color sample can be produced before the run.
Step 3: Production with photos before packing
Every finished rug is photographed and checked against the confirmed spec before it is rolled and packed.
Step 4: Flat-packed and shipped with the villa
Numbered by room, moisture-protected, consolidated into the same container as your hard products.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can rugs be made in custom sizes?
Yes — custom sizing is the default. We cut to your floor plan dimensions, and borders are scaled to the final size so the pattern reads correctly in the room.
Can you print our own design?
Yes. Send your design file or a reference image and we prepare it for production. We confirm a proof before the run when the artwork is complex.
Which material suits high-traffic areas?
Polypropylene and tight-knotted constructions for hallways and entries; wool blends for living rooms where foot traffic is heavy but the look should stay formal.
How are rugs packed for sea shipping?
Flat, rolled or folded, numbered by room and wrapped for moisture protection. Because they pack light and flat, they consolidate easily with flat-packed furniture and cabinets in one container.
Can rugs ship in the same container as cabinets and stone?
Yes. The whole villa program — hard and soft — consolidates into one mixed container, packed room by room, so your site receives everything in delivery order.
How do we see the product before production?
We produce a fabric and color sample on request, and we photograph every finished rug before packing so you confirm the actual product, not a rendering.
