Sintered Stone Worktops And Large Slabs
Sintered stone is the marble-look worktop that does not need sealing: fired at high pressure into a dense body, it takes heat, stains and scratches with a fraction of the maintenance of natural stone. At George Villa we produce the 1200×2400 sintered slabs and the 6 mm panels in our Foshan base, cut-to-size into worktops, vanity tops and wall panels, in polished, honed, leathered or matt finishes — shipped install-ready, with cargo insurance on every stone order.
What Is a Sintered Stone Worktop?
The sintered line covers two formats: the 1200×2400 large slab for worktops and full-wall fields, and the 6 mm thin panel for walls and cladding. The finishes run polished, honed, leathered and matt, in the marble and concrete looks.

Materials and Finishes for Sintered Stone
The look families are the marble looks — Calacatta, Carrara and the grey veins — plus the concrete and stone-look fields. Because the body is engineered, the same look is repeatable slab after slab, which is what the budget projects use it for.
The finish is the decision: polished for the mirror marble read, honed for the matte, leathered for the texture. Most requested sintered worktop schemes:

Where Sintered Stone Lands in a Villa
Six decisions are made at the drawing stage and are expensive to change after the slab is cut:
Look matching to the marble
Where the villa runs natural marble on the island, the sintered Calacatta look covers the rest of the run at a lower cost — matched on the photo so the two read as one scheme.
Format by application
The 1200×2400 slab covers the worktop and the full-wall field; the 6 mm panel covers the wall and cladding lines. The drawing states the format per piece, not per room.
Edge profile
Polished, eased, bullnose or flap — the same edge line as the natural stone, cut to the drawing and finished before packing.
Waterfall and full-height
The large slab carries the waterfall edge and the full-height kitchen field, because the 1200×2400 format reaches the floor line without a visible joint.
Template and cut-to-size
The worktop comes cut to the template, install-ready, with the sink and hob apertures marked on the drawing. The dense body takes the cut clean.
Packing and insurance
The slabs ship on edge in steel-frame or heavy wooden crates with foam corner protection, and cargo insurance is available on every stone order.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does sintered stone look like real marble?
The sintered line carries the marble looks — Calacatta, Carrara and the grey veins. The look is repeatable slab after slab, which is the point where the natural stone is unique per slab.
Does sintered stone need sealing?
No. The dense fired body is non-porous, so there is no sealing to maintain — which is why it is the default for the full-wall fields and the budget marble-look runs.
What formats do you produce?
The 1200×2400 large slab for worktops and full walls, and the 6 mm thin panel for wall and cladding lines. The drawing states the format per piece.
What finishes can the sintered slab take?
Polished, honed, leathered and matt, in the marble and concrete looks. The edge profile — polished, eased, bullnose or flap — is cut to the drawing.
How is it packed for shipping?
The slabs ship on edge in steel-frame or heavy wooden crates with foam corner protection, with cargo insurance available on every stone order.
How long does cut-to-size add?
Cut-to-size worktops typically add 15–25 days on top of slab preparation, because each piece is cut, edged and checked individually.
